Lindsay's Description:

Annie's Art Book is just that, an amazing book – in the form of a website - all about art in its many forms from food, crafts and of course cake.  You can really become lost here as there is so much to see and try.  Annie's cakes are breathtaking and as if seeing pictures of her finished creations wasn't enough she also shares tutorials for anyone talented, or brave enough, to try and recreate them.  And for those of us who can only marvel at Annie's tutorials, there are plenty of tasty recipes to try instead.

09 September 2010

You know, I've always thought that my daughter wouldn't like pink since I don't. I also thought she wouldn't be " girly colors person" in general and I took comfort in the thought that if I don't encourage her to be girly girl in the process of creating her taste, she'll be fine. As often happens ...

Kung Fu panda cake teaser 3

28 May 2010

A very late night yesterday! The good news is that the panda is drying better than expected ( for fondant) and I think I'll be able to put it on the cake and for it to stay the way it should! The bad news is ...it is extremely hot! It's almost 100 F and no matter the AC, since I use outside ...

27 May 2010

Still working on the Kung Fu panda cake. I wish I had the time to start a couple of days ago! The fondant is taking a long time to dry up, I didn't have the time to make gum paste ( I always make from scratch), so now I'm stressing out if it will hold the shape until tomorrow. Unfortunately the whole thing has to dry up in ...
