Cake Decorating Classes

The Creative Touch, a family-owned store in Newport News, has offered cake decorating classes and supplies for over 25 years.  Their inventory includes supplies for creating cakes, candies, cookies, and other treats--for all occasions.

Classes are two hours long, scheduled on Saturday mornings and weekday evenings. Creative Touch instructors teach the three core Wilton cake decorating courses: "Decorating Basics", "Flowers & Cake Design", and "Fondant & Gumpaste".  These courses consist of four weekly classes.  They also teach other courses and classes such as:

"Rolled Fondant" - learn how to scribe, hand paint, and cover cookies;

"Gumpaste Flowers" - learn how to make over 10 different gumpaste flowers in 5 weeks;

"Petit Fours" - learn how to make poured fondant and decorate petit fours;

"Cookie Decorating" - create seasonal and themed cookies;

"Kids Cookie & Cupcake Classes" - each child learns basic decorating skills and takes home decorated cookies and cupcakes.
